Drone and Aerial Mapping
Pivot and our partner company Battleborn GIS offer a complete range of aerial surveying and mapping services to our clients.
Aerial drone use is the easiest and most cost effective way to create topographic surveys of job sites, mine sites, biographical or botanical or even archaeological survey areas. Rather than relying on expensive aerial LiDAR or time consuming terrestrial surveys, we fly a drone over your site in much, much less time and with the greater perspective that surveying from height affords. Surveying from a greater height allows the surveyor to build accurate digital elevation models or point clouds 5-10 times faster than traditional methods. This added height advantage also allows for a greater recognition of key points of technical interest both to the scientist and to the contractor, builder or developer.
Our clients, whether they operate in: forestry, mining, construction (linear and site specific) natural resource management, environmental, agriculture, remote sensing, oil and gas or land management... our aerial drone mapping services can provide accurate data quickly and cost-effectively.
With our easy-to-deploy aerial mapping drones, we can capture accurate aerial imagery and transform it into 2D orthomosaics (maps) and 3D models of small- and medium-sized sites. Use of aerial mapping services from Pivot means greater efficiency and accuracy with significant cost savings over traditional surveying.
